Can you involve children in our ceremony?
Of course! Some children walk and stand with the Wedding Party, as a traditional flower girl or ring bearer role, or we have them sign a special certificate.
Do you perform same sex weddings?
Yes, of course! I work with LGBT couples and happy to marry any couple who wants to tie the knot.
We want a non-traditional marriage ceremony, without any religious words or prayers, can you still officiate?
Yes!
How do I book a wedding with you?
Simply contact me to check my availability for your date, I then gather the gist of where, when and other details of what you would like, you can secure your date with a deposit. I hold your wedding date and you are all set!
When is the final payment due?
The balance payment is due prior to your wedding day, typically along with your marriage licence application form, during rehearsal.
How much you charge?
My weekend rates depend on the date, wedding location and other details and start at $400. Additional information on pricing and services can be discussed during our introduction. Tax included.
Do you charge separate travel fees?
Sometimes, but typically, travel is included in my package price. However, if you have selected a venue that does not offer free parking, I would appreciate a validated ticket. For destination weddings and wedding outside my service area, overnight accommodations may be appropriate. All details can be negotiated.
What if I have to change my start time or wedding date?
I will try to be as flexible as possible in accommodating changes, I cannot guarantee my availability for a date or time change. Please let me know as soon as possible if you plan to change your wedding date or time so I can try to accommodate. If this puts us both in a tight spot, I will gladly recommend a replacement Officiant colleague for you.
Wedding rehearsal?
Yes, for an additional fee. Ceremony rehearsal is a separate booking from the wedding. Some couples do not want an officiant at a rehearsal; they have a wedding planner. At a wedding rehearsal, you are simply practicing walking in and walking out, but not the ceremony itself. I offer all couples a free PDF guide to coordinating your own wedding rehearsal, which outlines a few simple steps that everyone can understand.
Do we need to book a rehearsal?
Yes!
Do you allow pictures during the ceremony?
Yes, of course! I am happy to work with your other vendors.
My friend wants to marry us, can you just do the legal aspects?
Yes! Let’s chat about how we can make this happen.
We are already legally married. Can you still perform a ceremony?
Yes, absolutely. I simply need to see a copy of your marriage license before you schedule a date with me.
We want to get married but want a short and sweet justice of the peace style ceremony. Can you still officiate?
Yes! We have several options available depending on the location of your ceremony and I can custom write and officiate just about kind of ceremony. Chat with me and I may suggest some options.
Do you normally stay for the after-rehearsal dinner or wedding reception?
No, nor do I expect to be invited.
Does an Officiant expect a tip?
Gratuities are never expected, but are always appreciated.
We want to marry but are from two different religious backgrounds, can you still marry us?
Yes! Contact me to discuss options.
